An Idle Brain is the Devil’s Workshop. Evil thoughts enter out brain easily when we remain idle. When a man has nothing to do all sorts of evil ideas come to his mind. This will turn the man into a Devil. The mind of a man cannot remain vacant for a long time unless it is occupied with fruitful ideas, it will turn to bad thoughts.

So we should never keep our brain idle. It should always be occupied with serious thoughts. This is clear if we analyze the lives of the unemployed and the students of our society. Unemployment is a great evil. The mind of an unemployed person is always occupied with evil thoughts and desires. That is why every state should consider removing unemployment as early as possible. Our politicians and educationists are also very anxious to keep the students engaged in all kind of extracurricular activities.

Idleness is the root of all evils. The proverb tells us not be remain idle. Mind should always be occupied with noble ideas and intellectual thought. In a cultured mind evil ideas cannot find any place. So we should become conscious of the evil effects of idleness otherwise our brains will become the Devil’s work-shops.

Answer:

These days most children have both working parents and their lives are full of haste and hurries. They get little to see of their parents, let alone spending much time with them. Parents are providing their children with all the necessities and essentials. They make sure their children are getting quality education, any tuition, if required, soccer practice, piano lessons, basically they are entertaining each and every whim of their children and fulfilling all their needs and wants, but they are keeping their most valuable possession from them, and that is, their time. Without doubt, it is not easy, nor cheap, for parents to provide their children with all these facilities but giving them their time, their most priceless possession for which there is no recompense, is whats most difficult

The most basic idea of the concept is that a mind with nothing to do is much more probable to do evil and sinful things than active, productive, and just overall busy. The concept has been around for centuries. From the most prominent politician to the most paid sportsperson to the man working in the factory to earn minimum wages, everyone believes in it. Throughout history and in our day-to-day life, we see multiple examples of how someone ended up in ruins who could have been in the clouds. And for example, let us take prison cells, a detention center created by people from all walks of the universe to pay for their crimes and misdoings. The concept behind putting people under detention is to make them feel guilty about their deeds, to make them regret their decisions, and hopefully have a better life in the years to come. But they are not put there to sit and do nothing, they are given daily tasks and duties to fulfill, books to read, and occasional movies; all based on the same concept that if they stay idle, their chances are improvement are way lesser than the chances of their minds getting infiltrated by the devil.

Another example is the children who become drug addicts and ruin their lives before they can even begin. They did not use the most important time of their life. Instead, They spent it staying idle and unproductive led them into a cyclone of events that one after the other ruined everything that could have been and left behind a pile of muddles and broken houses and fallen trees. If only they had someone, who told them what not to do or maybe had help their hand and helped them utilize the time they had, the reality could have been very different.

So, is the concept real? Is it just the imagination of a philosopher sitting idle with nothing to do? From all the real-life examples we discussed and the ones we couldn’t, it would not be wrong to say that the concept is entirely true, and it is also a great light bearer in our path moving forward towards the life to come.
