On the other hand, the pleasure in the gifts of fortune can never be genuine or deep. A man who has inherited a vast amount of wealth but has earned no money by his personal exertions may be happy. We are given an idea that the fruits of labor are sweeter than the gifts of nature and this we are supposed to expand.

  • This sentence is very true.
  • In life, we are blessed with many gifts we have received.
  • Right from the time we are born, we get these gifts, from God, from our parents, from friends, relatives, and even from strangers.
  • All these gifts however pale in comparison to the ones that we give ourselves, through our hard work and labor.
  • Self-achievement is maximum when we succeed in earning our gifts.
  • Self-satisfaction is highest when the appraisal of our deeds happens.
  • Gifts of labor are far more satisfying than any other we receive.
