ANSWER 1) TIME AND TIDE WAIT FOR NO MAN.
Time and tide wait for no man is a well known proverb of Geoffrey Chaucer. The meaning of the proverb is that no one is so powerful that can stop the march of time. Things will not wait for you when you are late. One must not procrastinate. The most valuable commodity that we so commonly take for granted is what we value the most and that’s TIME. Every hour, every minute, every second make them count. Many things can be replaced but we can’t replace time and it waits for no man.
Life and Time are the best teachers. Life teaches us to make good use of time and time teaches us the value of life. If you don’t make use of a favourable opportunity, you may never get the chance again. Action should be taken without delay. There is no time like present. The present time is an appropriate time to take particular action. Time and Tide wait for no one, so start planning to live life to the fullest. Grab hold of what you want in life and seize the moment. Nobody can go back and start a new beginning but anyone can start today and make a new ending.
F. Kennedy said : ” For time and world do not stand still. Change is the law of nature and life. And those who look only at the past or present are certain to miss the future.”
Thomas Jefferson said : ” Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful to know how much could be done if we are always doing.”
William Shakespeare said : ” Make use of time, let not advantage slip.”
Thomas Carlyle said ; ” One life, a little gleam of time between two eternities.”
Thomas Fuller said : ” He lives long who lives well ; and time misspent is not lived but lost.”
Plutarch said : ” The whole life is but a moment of time. It is our duty, therefore to use it, not to misuse it.”
Lee Iacocca said : ” The ability to concentrate and to use your time well is everything if you want to succeed in business – or almost anywhere else for that matter.”
Charles Darwin said : ” A MAN WHO DARES WASTE ONE HOUR OF TIME HAS NOT DISCOVERED THE VALUE OF TIME.”
Don’t say, you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Albert Einstein, Louis Pasteur, Mother Teresa and other famous personalities. You can never make the same mistake twice because the second time you make it, it is not a mistake, it is a choice. Yesterday’s failures are today’s seeds that must be diligently planted to be able to abundantly harvest tomorrow’s success. If you planted hope, today in any hopeless heart. If someone’s burden was lighter because you did your part. If you caused a laugh that chased some tears away. If tonight your name is named when someone kneels to pray, then your day has been well spent.
Listen to life, it is the wisest teacher of all. Every morning you are handed twenty-four golden hours. They are one of the few things in this world that you get free of charge. If you had all the money in the world, you couldn’t buy an extra hour. What will you do with this priceless treasure ? Remember you must use it wisely, as it is given only once. Once wasted you can’t get it back. Are you making the most of your time ? Are you using your precious hours to focus on the things that are really important to you? Are you one of those who say ” KILLING TIME.” People talk of killing time but it is time that silently kills people. Sometimes you need to be alone in order to reflect on life. Take time to take care of yourself. You deserve it.
ANSWER 2) Handsome Is As Handsome Does. :
A person may be good looking. He impresses others by his personality. Others might find him handsome. But once they get to know him, they may find many faults in his character and their first impression about him gets tarnished. They may even start to hate him because of the flaws in his character. His personality which impressed others at first cannot influence them anymore. It turns into scorn and hatred in due course. On the other hand we may consider the case of an ugly person. If his character happens to be attractive and good, others will like him. They will try to mingle with him more and more. Their attitude will in due course turn to one of love, affection and even adoration. This proves that a person’s attraction does not depend on his external appearance. Instead it is based on his inner quality and ability. In other words, a person can be called really handsome only if he happens to be good and attractive in his character instead of being attractive and fine looking externally.
