Answer:

Service to Mankind is service to God

Explanation:

The expression “The Service of the Mankind is the service of God” implies that self-sacrificing service to mankind is as important as the worship of God.

Being selfless and helping the poor or the needy is like helping God by doing a good deed in life. It gives the positive environment and others to learn from the good act done in the service of Mankind. Like how soldiers sacrifice their life to help the mankind. Human being must help each other, help the poor, help the needy even if it is small way or a minute act.

To love mankind, according to Vivekananda, is to worship God. This is the essence of all worship to be pure and good to others.

Someone who gives his life for the benefit of mankind is loved by God. If there is a God, he would want us to live not just for ourselves but for other people.

The older men were aware of this fact. Life for them was an act. This is the service of others. A life centered on selfish interests, no matter what the needs of others, is worse than death. The bird or animal collects its food and its young. It’s kind of a job no doubt, but it’s not the kind of work a person is expected to do. He is the roof and crown of nature so he should live a greater life of dedication to human service.

God is omnipresent. He would stand before us everywhere. He was standing next to a man in the temple. He too will stand next to the man at the gate. As Rabindranath once said in one of his songs, God has a farmer who plows his field, the worker sets the course.

Therefore, we must get rid of the old habit of looking for him in a brick temple. If God is in me, and in others, He is among the rich and the proud as the lowly and the lost. To stand in the dust and sweat in the work of others is to serve God Himself, to worship God in the true sense of the word.
