We know that ,

( a + b )^3 = a^3 + 3a^2b + 3ab^2 + b^3

So

( 1 + 2/3a )^3 = ( 1 )^3 + 3* ( 1 )^2* ( 2/3a ) + 3*1*( 2/3a )^2 + ( 2/3a )^3

= 1 + 2/a + 4/3a^2 + 8/27a^3

=1 +  { \frac{8}{27} a}^{3}  + 2a +  { \frac{4}{3}a }^{2}
