We know ,

 {(a + b)}^{2}  =  {a}^{2}  +  {b}^{2} + 2ab

so, here

 {(2x + 3y)}^{2}  =  {(2x)}^{2}  +  {(3y)}^{2}  + 2(2x)(3y) \\  \\  \implies \: 4 {x}^{2}  + 9 {y}^{2}  + 12xy
