Expand (x+3y)² and (2a-3b)² using identities.​

Your Solution:

(x + 3y)² [Identity: (a + b)² = a² + b² + 2ab]

= (x)² + (3y)² + 2(x)(3y)

= x² + 9y² + 6xy

(2a-3b)² [Identity: (a - b)² = a² + b² - 2ab]

= (2a)² + (3b)² - 2(2a)(3b)

= 4a² + 9b² - 12ab
