Answer: (x+y)² - (x-1)²

= (x²+y²+2xy)-(x²+y²-2xy)

= x²+y²+2xy-x²-y²+2xy

= 4xy

=[(x+y)(x-y)]^2

=[x^2-y^2]^2

=(x^2)^2+(y^2)^2-2(x^2)(y^2)

=x^4+y^4-2x^2y^2
