A stitch in time saves time is an old saying emphasizing the importance of time or the value of keeping time. That procrastination is the number one enemy of humankind. if we are wise enough to do something there and then instead of pushing it further and further, it would save us a lot. some problems become bigger with time, so solving them immediately will save us the hustle. it also emphasizes on the importance of tackling an issue before it becomes disastrous.

A stitch in time, saves nine’ is one of the most often used and meaningful proverbs of our times. Literally it means that, if a stitch that has come off the dress is not mended immediately, more stitches will come off loose, damaging the dress more.

It means that timely action can prevent further damage to a thing, or a situation. Procrastination or the habit of putting off things, by saying that it will be done at a later time, can only further damage that has already been caused.
