Expansion of idea on forgiveness is best punishment

Answer:
One of the inevitable things in life is that someone will do or say something to upset and hurt us. While forgiveness is a good way to overcome such hurts, we also don’t want people to get away with what they did. So my colleagues and I set out to test whether it’s possible to forgive and get justice.
Forgiveness is the process in which a victim’s thoughts, feelings and attitudes towards an offender transitions from negative to neutral or positive. Of the many ways people deal with transgressions, forgiveness is particularly effective. It restores valued relationships and frees people from the weight of negative feelings associated with being hurt.

Explanation:
Forgiveness is the best punishment.
Punishments are often inflicted to those persons who make mistakes or do wrong things. It is an act of making the offender realise his/her mistake by making them pay a price of their mistakes.
Sometimes punishments may have lasting scars on some people. Some people who have been punished may take things in a wrong way and instead develop more hate and anger inside them. Therefore, forgiving would be the best punishment. First time offenders should be forgiven. It is not easy but it can have good results.
Forgiving someone of their mistakes has the potential to change the person who has made mistakes. They may be moved by the kindness and may realise their own mistakes themselves. This is why it is always good to try a little tenderness in life. It may have long lasting effects rather than punishing someone right away.
