"Jack of all trades but master of none" is a phrase or you can call it an idiom too.Well, this phrase is very well said and it is very true.In our life we cannot do everything at the same time.We need to concentrate on something particular or else we would be bad at everything.It is never possible to be an expert in every field.This is the reason why we choose a particular stream in class 10.A student cannot learn , science subjects , commerce subjects and arts subjects all at the same time.The student will never be able to score good marks.So, it is very important to concentrate on the work we do.If we are learning a particular language then we should learn it properly and not try to learn many languages at the same time.This the main idea that the phrase is based on.
