The proverb , "Prevention is better than cure" holds true in case of TDA [ Tobacco Drug and Alcohol Abuse ] .

• We can prevent by the following measures :-

1. Avoid undue parental pressure :- All children have their own choices , capacities . The parents should not force their children to perform beyond their capacity .
2. Responsibility of parents and teachers :- They have to advise , help the children .
3. Seeking help from peers :- If classmates find someone getting into trap of TDA , it should be brought to the notice of their parents or teachers.
4. Education :- There must be a continuous process of educating the children regarding TDA .
5. Seeking professional and medical help :- A lot of help is available in the form of highly qualified psychologist , psychiatrists etc .

By following these measures we can prevent from the TDA .
