Trees could describe fashions throughout a large span of years, pass on snippets of conversation heard from passers by. Describe makes of cars that have evolved over the years. Think about what could be seen from a "trees-eye view" so to speak. They could even describe the habitat they provide for squirrels and birds. I think you could have fun with this one.
