We experience through our senses and these are not only senses they are considered as the subjective in nature.And it refers to the emotional and cognitive impact of a human experience as opposed to an objective experience which are actual events of the experience through out our life.

Examples :

The fact of the eating demonstrates that the creature

has knowledge of the presence and nature of the food

                                     or

The fact that the creature sometimes does not eat when

food is present demonstrates that it has knowledge of

its own need for food.
