REACTANTS:
1) Sodium Hydroxide [base] (NaOH)
2) Hydrochloric acid [acid]
PROCEDURE:
Keep the Sodium Hydroxide in a round bottom flask and add Hydrochloric acid through a thistle funnel and the mouth is corked . When it is added a exothermic reaction occurs and Sodium Chloride(NaCl) [salt] is formed along with water. They are mixed and is distilled to get the Sodium Chloride and water separately.
FORMULA:
NaOH + HCl => NaCl + H2O
