Take a potted plant . Keep it in a dark room for 3 days .Then take it out . Pluck a leaf from the plant. Mark the green colour of the leaf. Now put the leaf to the beaker containing alcohol to kill the germs . Now put it to the iodine solution.Observe the change .
We come to the conclusion that Starch is present if the leaf turns to blue black
Starch is not present if the leaf turns to brown colour
