take a beaker and fill it with water then note the water level then put  KmNo4 (potassium permagnate)  5 to 7 very small grains of kmno4 into the beaker the water will turn pink in color  note the level of water it will not increase  this is because the particals of kmno4 has settled between the particals of water   then take this solution and add it in a jug of water the pink color is visible but it will become lighter  even aft er 30 - 40 reaped dilutions thought the color becomes light but it is still visible this proves particals of matter are small
