material required
beaker,common salt,pebble,platic sheet,cup.
procedure
first take the beaker and pour the common salt solution in it then put a empty glass inside the beaker fill with salt solution.
cover the mouth of beaker with plastic sheet and put pebble on the centre of plastic sheet
put this apparatus in sunlight and wait for sometime
result
you will see the water got seperated in the middle glass and the beaker is left with salt crystals.

To separate common salt dissolved in water
Dissolve a teaspoon full of salt in about 50 ml water taken in a beaker. Heat this salt solution. You will notice that as the water evaporates, the amount of solution decreases. Let the water evaporate completely. Now, you will find white residue i.e. salt left behind the beaker.
