Answer:

Take a tub filled with water. Hold a bell in one hand and dip it in water. Keep one of your ears gently on the surface of water without letting water into the ear. Now ring the bell inside water. You will be able to hear the sound clearly. This shows that sound can travel through liquids.

or

Sounds generally travel in wave motion. That's why it needs a medium for it's propagation. This medium could be soild, liquid or gaseous.

To prove the sound's ability to travel through water we can do a simple experiment:

1)First take a deep bowl with full of water.

2)Then take two large sized metal coins.

3)Then hold that two coins with both of your hands.(one coin in one single hand)

4)Submerge your hand into the bowl's water ,with the coins.

5)Move your hand in a clap like motion inside the water, so that the coins will collide with each other.

6)A sound of metal clicking will be produced, when the coins are colliding with each other.

This experiment proves that the sound waves can travel through the liquids.
