- Pot Plant
- Aluminium foil
- Bench Lamp.

Method:
1. Place the plan in the dark for two days...
- This allows all the starch to be used up or move out of the leaves to other parts of the plant.
- The leaves are said to be de-starched
2. Cover some of the leaves of the plant with aluminium foil
- This blocks out light and prevents photosynthesis.
- These leaves will act as a control.
3. Place the plant in a string light for a few hours or overnight if necessary.
- This allows photosynthesis to take place.
4. Test some of the covered leaves and some of the uncovered leaves for starch, as outlines below.
