Aim of the Experiment :- To show the Cheek cell

MATERIALS REQUIRED

1. Glass slide
2. Tooth pick and ice-cream stick
3. Methylene blue (also known as methylthioninium chloride)
4. Needle
5. Copper clip

THEORY

1. Animal cell are smaller than plant cell.
2. Animal cell has no cellwall.
3. Animal cell are bounded with cytoplasm, cell membrane and nucleus.

PROCEDURE

1. Take a glass slide clean it with a drop of water.
2. Use a toothpick or ice-cream stick and scrap inside surface of your cheek.
3. With the help of a needle transfer material on the glass slide.
4. Add methylene blue solution to the material.
5. Finally, put a cover over this to prevent the presence of air bubbles, observe this under the microscope.

PRECAUTIONS

1. Clean the glass slide before using it.
2. Use the chemical  judiciously.
3. Extra chemicals can be removed by blotting paper.
4. Care should be taken while placing coveslip.

CONCLUSION

On observing we find spherical or oval do not like structure called Nucleus-near the centre of each cheek cell.
