Hi,
=======:
Here is your answer,
=======:
Steps of experiment --
1. Take some raisins.
2. Take a China dish or watch glass pour some water in it.
3. Weight the raisins before putting it in water.
4. Put the raisins in water for some time like for more than 20 minutes.
4. After appropriate time, put them out with the help of brush and pit them on blouting paper or in cotton to absorb water surrounding raisins.
5. Now weight the raisins.
Conclusion -
we find that the raisins have absorbed water by osmosis, which results to increase in their weight not in mass (as mass remain fix at any cost)
Result -
we can say that osmosis helps in absorbtion of water.
======
Additional information --
1. Osmosis occurs only in water medium.
2. Raisins are dehydrated grapes, means they have low water concentration.
