1st law of motion states that an object continues to remain at rest or in state of uniform motion until an external unbalanced force acts on it.

for example , If there's a boll on the floor it won't roll until you move it, that is applying pressure on it

This inability of a body to change its State motion or rest is called inertia.

Inertia of a body is directly proportional to the mass of a body.
