1) Physical barrier- Skin on our body is the main barrier which present entry of the micro organisms.

2) Physiological barrier- Acid in the stomach, saliva in the mouth, tears from eyes all present microbial growth.

3) Cellular barrier- Certain types of leukocytes of our body like polymorpho nuclear leukocytes and monocytes.

4) Cytokine barrier- Virus infected cells secrete proteins called interferons which protect non infected cells from further viral infections.

  2. Physiological barrier-Physiological Barriers,Physiology is the state of human body and mind. Physiological barriers of communication occur due to the physical condition of sender or receiver which even be physical disabilities.
  3. Cellular barrier-The innate immune response is a cellular defense system that protects animals from threats such as external infections and is required for maintenance of normal physiology .
  4. Cytokine barrier-Cytokines are a group of proteins secreted by cells of the immune system that act as chemical messengers.
