HELLO MATE HERE IS YOUR ANSWER.

First Law of Thermodynamics:

Energy can be changed from one form to another, but it cannot be created or destroyed. The total amount of energy and matter in the Universe remains constant, merely changing from one form to another.

AnSwer :-

\Large \star The net energy change in a closed system is equal to heat absorbed plus the work done by the system.

The mathematical form of 1st law is

\Delta U = q + w

  • \Delta U denotes Change in Internal energy.
  • q denotes heat gained or lost by the system.
  • w denotes work done by the system.

[For absorption of heat 'q' is +ve and for release 'q' is -ve]

Applications of this law :-

When w = 0, \Delta U = q

If heat is absorbed by system, internal energy increases, If heat is lost by system, internal energy decreases.
