2) given, (5+√5)(5-√5) on applying the identify (a+b)(a-b) =(a^2-b^2)

now, (5)^2-(√5)^2=25-5=20

and as you know that 20 is rational.

3)6/2√3= 2×3/2√3=√3×√3/√3=√3

and as you know that √3 is irrational.

hope it helps you.

Thanks buddy.

2)  Rational Number is defined as the number which can be written in a ratio of two integers. An irrational number is a number which cannot be expressed in a ratio of two integers. In rational numbers, both numerator and denominator are whole numbers, where the denominator is not equal to zero. While an irrational number cannot be written in a fraction.

3) 6/(2√3)

  = (3 × 2)/(2 × √3)

   = 3/√3

  = (√3 × √3)/√3

  = √3
