Explain 2 ways by which age of fossils can be estimated

a) relative method - fossils found in different depths , deeper the fossils found older in the age  b) carbon dating method - all living organisms contain some carbon atoms which are radio active . This content goes on decreasing gradually. They again determined by comparing the left carbon atoms with present carbon atoms in living organisms

Radiometric Dating, which allows the actual ages of certain types of rocks to be calculated
