"CONVECTION" : when the water is heated the water the near flame gets hot. The cold water from the sides moves down towards the heat. This cold water also gets hot and moves from sides. This process continues till the whole water (including cold water) gets heated. This process of heat transfer is known as"CONVECTION".

There are 4 natural phenomena in which convection plays a role :

(1) Thunderstorms

(2) Ventilators of the room

(3) Hot coffee from the coffee cup and

(4) Sea breezes.

I hope it will be helpful for you....!!

Atmospheric convection currents can be set up by local heating effects such as solar radiation (heating and rising) or contact with cold surface masses (cooling and sinking). Suchconvection currents primarily move vertically and account formany atmospheric phenomena, such as clouds and thunderstorms.
