Activity on plasmolysis using rhoeo leaf :

1. Take out the peel from rhoeo leaf and put that peel on two slides.

2. On one slide put a drop of 0.1% sodium chloride solution while on other put 5% sodium chloride solution.

3. Cover the slide with a coverslip and observe them one by one under microscope.

In the slide having 0.1% solution, the cells become turgid while in the other slide plasmolysis can be observed. In the slide having 5% solution which is more concentrated than 0.1%, the water from cell move through cell membrane into the surrounding medium. This causes cell to shrink in size and assume a spherical shape. It is known as plasmolysis.

Explanation:

An erection (clinically: penile erection or penile tumescence) is a physiological phenomenon in which the penis becomes firm, engorged, and enlarged. Penile erection is the result of a complex interaction of psychological, neural, vascular, and endocrine factors, and is often associated with sexual arousal or sexual attraction, although erections can also be spontaneous. The shape, angle, and direction of an erection varies considerably in humans.
