Explain a method to seprate a mixture of salt and sand​

Steps given below mentioned for separating a mixture of salt & sand :

1. Pour the salt and sand mixture into a pan.

2. Add water.

3. Heat the water until the salt dissolves.

4. Remove the pan from heat and allow it to cool until it's safe to handle.

5. Pout the salt water into a separate container.

6. Now collect the sand.
