Answer:

People would get attracted to discount price boards, and would disregard the quality of products.

I just came across this in one of the bakery around my residential vicinity. I wouldn’t usually get excited looking at such discount offers because, I get curious to find how seller would make money on such discount sales?

Customers will have a glimpse only at price tags, and will ignore to validate the quality of products during during discount sales.

So coming back to samosas, I came across same samosas being displayed in other bakery, but couldn't find the price board. This created a curiosity to find the price, and walked up to bakery. To my surprise, I got to know something unexpected when I initiated a friendly conversation with the seller.

Vendor revealed me that these samosas are prepared by some other food processing company locally, and supplied to all the bakeries in that entire area. Eventually coming back to price, in this bakery the cost of one samosa was 15 rupees.

Now you look at the price above, you will understand - how Customers are being betrayed by attracting through displaying discount price boards.

Anyhow, I’m not proving that all the products sold on discount are of bad quality or customers being betrayed in that case. But, there are few sellers even in big markets who manipulate and betray customers. So we need to be calculative and cautious rather getting attracted to discount price display-boards.
