There are three allele which govern the ABO blood group.
IA(codes for A blood group),IB(codes for B blood Group)and i(codes for o blood group).
since humans are diploid organisms ,only two allele at a time can exist. IA and IB are dominant allele and i is recessive one.
possible combinations:-
IA IA- A blood group
IA i- A blood group
IB IB- B blood group
IB i- B blood group
i i- o blood group
IA IB- AB blood group
Since IA and IB are dominant, together they show co dominance, that's why AB blood group exists.
so this is the answer, hope u get it :)
