camouflage is an act performed by animals in order to blend with their sorroundings and to go unseen. it helps them to escape from their enemies and also get near to the animal they are to hunt without the animal noticing them. there are many examples

- the skin colour of the lion helps it to hide within the tall dry grasses

- the colour changing ability of the chameleon

- green coloured body of insects that helps them to  blend with the leaves of the plant they feed on
