Composite fish culture is a form of fish farming in which different fish types are bred in only one pond. Surface feeders like Carla are taken along with column feeders like rohu and bottom feeders like common carp so that there is no competition for food. The disadvantage is that they all breed in monsoon and it leads to confusion while collection of eggs.

noodhana: i want the advantages of it
Aadya14: Well, the advantage is that different fish can be bred all at once and the farmer can easily avoid problems regarding competition for food since the fish all eat in different areas. And another thing is that sometimes the farmer may also keep fishes that feed off the algae in the pond hence ensuring the cleanliness of the same.
