Continental drift is an act of changing the position of continents of Earth which are relative to each other. So, it appears from one side to another side of the ocean bed. The theory for showing that continents may drift was firstly proposed by  Abraham Ortelius in 1596 but fully developed by  Alfred Wegener in 1912.
