Crop rotation

It is the process of farming in which one plot of land is used multiple times in a year for cultivation. It not only helps the farmer to earn money through out the year but also helps in retaining the fertility of the soil. For example- Rice is cultivated in a plot of land during the kharif season and wheat is sown in the same plot in Rabi season.

Mixed cropping

It is the process in which a number of different types of crops are cultivated in a land at the same time. It helps the farmer to earn more money but may affect adversely in the fertility of the soil. For example- A number of different vegetables are growing simultaneously in a plot of land which is divided into strips
