Question :- Explain about disorders of Muscular and Skeleton system.

Answer :- Disorders of Muscular system are given and explained below :-

Diseases and disorders of the muscular system include:-

(i) muscular dystrophy (muscle weakening diseases).

(ii) tendinosis (degenerative tendon disease)

(iii) fibromyalgia (chronic pain).

(iv) mitocondrial myopathy (mitochondria ATP disorder).

(v) myasthenia gravis (immune system problem).

(vi) tetanus (paralyzing bacterial infection).

❤ᴇxᴘʟᴀɴᴀᴛɪᴏɴ ᴏғ ᴇᴀᴄʜ ᴅɪsᴇᴀsᴇ ᴏғ ᴍᴜsᴄᴜʟᴀʀ sʏsᴛᴇᴍ :-

(i) Muscular dystrophy is a group of diseases that weaken the muscular system and make it harder to move. The diseases are usually progressive - they get worse over time - and affect proteins causing the death of muscle cells.

(ii) Tendinosis is a degenerative disease that causes tendons to break down and form scar tissue when the tendons are no longer able to repair themselves after an injury. There are many commonly used treatments, but they're not very effective.

(iii) Fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) is basically widespread chronic pain. It is often resistant to treatment and so the focus is usually on learning how to live with the issue.

(iv) Mitochondrial myopathy is a defect in how ATP is produced in mitochondria. It makes it hard for the mitochondria to produce energy from your food, which causes muscle cells to become damaged and feel weak. Again, we can only treat symptoms and not stop the progression of the disorder itself.

(v) Myasthenia gravis is where the immune system attacks the junction between the nerves and muscles, making it hard for your brain to communicate with the muscles. This also makes muscles feel weak. Treatments include plasma exchange and various drugs.

(vi) Tetanus is a serious disease caused by a bacterial toxin that affects your nervous system, leading to painful muscle contractions, particularly of your jaw and neck muscles. Tetanus can interfere with your ability to breathe and can threaten your life. Tetanus is commonly known as "lockjaw."

Answer:- Disorders of Skeleton system are given and explained below :-

Diseases and disorders of the Skeleton system include :-

(i) Osteoporosis :- Osteoporosis, the result of reduced bone mineral density, can lead to an increased risk for fractures. Osteoporosis is a disease of the bones that leads to an increased risk of fracture. In osteoporosis, the bone mineral density (BMD) is reduced, bone microarchitecture deteriorates, and the amount and variety of proteins in bone is altered.

(ii) Paget’s Disease :- Paget’s disease is a chronic bone disorder that causes affected bones to become large and misshapen. The excessive breakdown and formation of bone tissue causes affected bone to weaken, resulting in pain, misshapen bones, fractures, and arthritis in the joints near the affected bones. Paget’s disease typically is localized, affecting just one or a few bones, as opposed to osteoporosis, for example, which affects all the bones in the body. Although there is no cure for Paget’s disease, medications (bisphosphonates and calcitonin) can help control the disorder and lessen pain and other symptoms.

Answer:

Myasthenia gravis: It is the abnormal weakening and rapid fatigue of certain muscles. It is due to a breakdown in communication between nerves and muscles. Muscular Dystrophy: This is mostly hereditary. It causes progressive weakness and degeneration of skeletal muscle, which controls movement.
