Electroplating is process by which an superior metal is deposited on an inferior metal by electrolysis.
The article to be plated should be at cathode (it should be cleaned) .
The superior metal (gold ,silver, etc.)
Should be kept at anode (thin strips).
The electrolyte should have the molecules on superior metal
eg- if silver ----->Na[Ag(CN)2]
if nickle----->NiSo4
The current passed should be less so that deposition happens evenly
