The Holocaust, also known as the Shoah, was a genocide in which approximately six million Jews were killed by Adolf Hitler's Nazi regime and its collaborators.

The holocaust, after Hitler captured Poland in 1939, was a genocide put to action by the Third Reich to eliminate Judaism and move to compelte Catholicism. It came to an end with World War II. Nazi leaders were punished at the Nuremberg Trials.
