Hot springs are springs that contain water that has temperatures that are above the mean annual temperature of a the given region where it is located. The water could warm enough to bath in or too hot that one could not get in. It contains underground water that emerges onto the surface of the earth just like all other springs. However, hot springs have their water heated by the energy created by the earth.

Water will be flowing out along the surface whatever water table touches the ground. This is called Spring.

At some places such water flows are characterised with hot water. These are known as hot spring.
