⇒ Matter is collection of small or tiny particles. Matters is basically anything which occupies mass and space. Particles of matter attract each other. They don't have space between them.
⇒ Example :- Chairs, air, almonds, drinks etc.
⇒ Matter exist in three forms or state namely solid, liquid or a gas.
- A solid is a state in which matter is characterised by having fixed shape, distinct boundaries, rigidity, incompressibility and fixed volume.
- The liquid state shows fluidity, low compressibility and no definite boundaries or shape but fixed volume.
- The gaseous state is characterised by having fluidity, high compressibility, No definite boundary, volume or shape.
