• This is the tallest section of the Himalayas and is crowned by several peaks of perpetual snow.

• Important peaks include Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse I, Makalu, Dhaula Giri and Annapurna.

• Kathmandu is a famous valley in this region
