According to Eichler classification, plant kingdom is divided into two major division based on flowering

1. cryptogame

cryptogame2 . phanerogam

cryptogames are non flowering plants which don't produce seeds while phanerogams are flowering plants

cryptogames are again subdivided into three

1.thallophyta

1.thallophyta2. bryophyta

1.thallophyta2. bryophyta 3. pteridophyta

Thallophyta : gametophytic plants ,it is subdivided into three classes algae ,fungi,lichen

algae are autotrophic gametophytes while fungi are heterotrophs .

lichens are symbiotic association of algae and fungi.

bryophyta:are also known as amphibians of plant kingdom. they are also gametophytic . bryophyta are divided into three hepatica ( liver worts), anthocerotae( hornworts), musci( mosses)

pteridophyta: they are sporophytic ,and plant body is differentiate into root stem and leaf. they are also known as vascular cryptogams. pteridophyta is divided into 4. they are psilopsida,lycopsida, sphenopsida pteropsida.

1. gymnospermae

2.angiospermae

gymnospermae are naked seeded plants .they are divide into 3 cyacadopsida, Coniferopsida,gentopsida

Angiosperm are plants with enclosed seed .they are divided into two monocotyledon and dicotyledon based on the number of cotyledons.
