The numbers of the form p/q in fraction and where p and q are integers and q≠0are known as rational numbers.Every natural number,integer and a fraction is a rational number.

For example

0 is a rational number since we can write 0 = 0/1 which is the quotient of two integers with a non-zero denominator.

3/-4
8=8/1

hope it helps!!!

A rational no. is a no.that can be written as a ratio. That means it can be written as a fraction, in which both the numerator (the number on top) and the denominator (then umber on the bottom) are whole numbers. The number 8 is a rational number because it can be written as the fraction 8/1.
