The Rivet Popper Hypothesis was present by an ecologist named Paul Ehrlich. This hypothesis emphasizes that the whole ecosystem can be considered as an airplane and all the organisms act as the rivers of that airplane.

This means that all the animals or species present in an ecosystem are what makes this ecosystem just like the rivets present in a plane keeps it joined and in a working condition.

RIVERT POPPER:

  • Rivet popper hypothesis is given by famous ecologist Paul Ehrlich, who compared our ecosystem with an aeroplane. He said that the ecosystem is just like an aeroplane and all the species present in the ecosystem just like the rivets or screws.
  • The elimination of each species can be compared with the loss of each Rivet. The less important species are compared to the rivets of the wings, and the more important species are compared with the rivets of main body. Loss of any one species can loosen, thereby threatening the existence of aeroplane.
