Siksha Karmi Project :
It is one of the program initiated by the Government in Rajasthan for promoting the rural education .
The programme was implemented in 1987 with assistance of Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.
Main Objective of the Project :
1. To improve the primary education in the remote and economically backward villages of Rajasthan
2. Promoting girl child education.
To attain universal education objective, Villages in Rajasthan faced a problem with teacher absenteeism .So this project provided Substitute for teacher with well trained local youths called as "Shiksha Karmis "
