For active voice, we write:

 \bf{\red{Examples:}}

  • Sarita \blue{met} me at the mall yesterday.
  • We \blue{crossed} the road in a hurry.

  • Where  \blue{did} Roma  \blue{keep} the file?

 \bf{\underline{\underline {USES}}}

1. The past indefinite ( \blue{simple\: past} ) tense is used to express an action that took place at some point of time in the past.

  • If she \blue{had \:approached} me, I would have advised her to work harder.

4. This tense is used when from a specific time in the past, we look backward at an event that took place earlier in the past.
