*The size of image is equal to that of the size of the object.

*The image formed is as far behind the mirror as the object is in front of it.

*The image formed by a plane mirror is always virtual and erect.

*The image is laterally inverted.

1) an image can be inverted or erect.

2) it can be real or inverted.

3) it can be smaller tham the object , same size as the object or larger than it.

4)in case of mirrors, concave mirror forms a real,inverted ,erect or same size while convex mirror always forms virtual image.

5)in case of lenses, convex lens forms real or virtual , same size , bigger or smaller there is only one case in convex lens that the image is virtual that is when the object is placed between the optical centre and F1 while concave lens always forms a image which is virtual, erect and smaller than a object it can never form real image.
