Helium is an exception among the noble gases because although it has its outermost shell filled up like the other noble gases but as it has only one shell so it has two electrons in its outermost shell, i.e., it is said that it has its duplet filled up, unlike the other noble gases which have eight electrons in their outermost shell, i.e., they have their octet filled up. And this makes all the noble gases including helium, chemically inactive.
