Ionic bonds are generally between metals and non-metals. For e.g. Salt (NaCl) is an ionic bond which consists of Sodium (Na) which is a metal with positive charge combines withChlorine (Cl), a nonmetal with a negative charge. ... Here, Magnesium is a metal with cations and Hydroxideis a nonmetal with anions.

Nacl is a chloride salt

Which forms ionic bounding by sharing of electrons .hear Na donates it's one valence electron and clorine receives one electron hence they form a ionic bounding. Na+ and Cl-
